Yesterday at ASU I went to a meeting provided by the Alumni Association. Now this is not normally something that I would have done, but one of my professors suggested we check it out. In fact, we had to go.

I’ve been writing posts every Sunday for zomgbbq.net for a few months now, and while I believe the content is worthwhile, they’re not getting any traffic there. So, since I think this info should be somewhere where it will actually get some traffic, I’m thinking of bringing the lists over here.

So Google is updating PageRank today for the first time since April. My current PageRank for all the sites I care about is running at 2/10. Now the real question, do I really care at all?
My quick basic answer would be, “No.”

Recently Google lowered the Toolbar PageRank for many top rated blogs and sites. While they have claimed that they did so for as an update to their algorithm, the ones that seem to have been hurt the most were those places that were actively selling links. Other’s have been hurt as well, which may back up Google’s insistence that this is merely an organic change.
